The United States and Canada

During 1983 and 1994 ASOEX developed, through the Chilean Fresh Fruit Association (CFFA), the first promotional activities of the Chilean Fruit Industry in the USA.The aim was to grow awareness of the cultural richness of Chile as well as the excellence of their fruit industry.In 1998 TV and radio campaigns were created, based in the Central Valley of Chile.

This first television commercial, called "Centuries", was shown in total of 33 cities in the US and Canada, as well as to cinema audiences across Europe.

In 2001, the CFFA commissioned two other commercials, "Natural Wonders" and "Chilean Summer". After market research surveys, the advertisements was created to extol the beauty of Chile and also the pleasure of having fruit from the Southern Hemisphere which would be out of season in the North.

The adverts often contained both the logos of the supermarket chains where the produce could be bought, as well as endorsing the American Five a Day campaign.
Since 1998, ASOEX has sponsored the news column "Five a Day”. This encourages the American population to eat more fruit.

From 1998, fresh fruit sampling, exhibiting and distribution of promotional material have also taken place.
